a great nite out :-)

I had one hell of a long week ... work work and more work. But filled with small moments of hope as I went to BodyJam class at the gym a couple of times to keep from going insane :-)

And to make up for my week, I went out last night, and it was great. Started out at a gig at Studio with a whole host of great bands ... Streetwise Scarlet, Wash, Goodnight Nurse, Steriogram, and My Life Story. Definitely an awesome lineup! Even managed to meet up with a couple of mates that I know from my course too, good to catch up with them (even if one did happen to tip his drink down my back by accident at the end of the gig, as I said goodbye. haha) Ran into quite a few random people I hadn't seen for ages, and some that I'd just recently met, a goood gig all round.

Then instead of being sensible and going home for sleep, I decided to go out, and glad I did. A group of 4 of us set out into the wide wide world of auckland city in search of more fun and adventures. We headed off in search of a Karaoke bar (a pasttime I had always sworn I wouldn't do). We stopped for a drink at The Wine Cellar on Krd, then headed off again in search of the Karaoke bar that would fulfil our wildest dreams, haha, ok I'll stop getting creative now.
We found one in queen street where we booked a private karaoke room, and yes I did end up singing, breaking into my turn with a duet (after a bit of encouragement and hassling from the others). Although my voice was half gone before we even got in there, so it was far from good for a singing voice. But dare I say it, I actually enjoyed myself :-) I'll definitely do that again! Perhaps with a couple more drinks next time, haha.

The night ended with me heading home around 3 ... definitely no complaints about the night though. Tonight is a relaxing one for me, time to chill out and relax so I can face the million and one things I have on tomorrow, and head into the week with undeniable enthusiasm (hmm well it could happen I suppose).
