sickness sux!

ok so seriously, being sick really sux! Late sunday night I was feeling a bit under the weather, a bit of a sore throat. I woke up monday with absolutely no voice whatsoever, and feeling like I'd been run over by a steam train! So I stayed in bed all day til about 4.30pm or so. I'd started to develop a cough, which for me is just really painful cos my throat is not as strong as it should be. I'll spare you the graphic details. But yeah, I thought on tuesday that I was starting to get better, but it seems that it comes and goes in waves. At least I have my voice back now. I got it back just in time for a job interview today, which I decided not to take whether they wanted me or not, but the interview certainly was easier with a voice! I'm so over this being sick thing, in fact I was over it on the first day.

On the plus side, me being as sensible as I am when I'm sick, I went to work for half a day today, and then went to a gig tonight (it was on my way home.... or thats my excuse anyway ... haha). I watched Occasional Saint, The Glory Sea, and i think the last band was called In It For The Money. Anyway, all great bands. I was smart to some extent though, no alcohol tonight, wasn't I a good girl :-)

Now its time for some shuteye. I don't feel like going to work tomorrow, but I have no sick leave for this job yet, and I have to pay bills. Hopefully my cough disappears by then. I'm "apparently" in the recovery stage according to my symptoms, so at least I'm not contagious for the customers and workmates. But we'll see.
