oops im getting slack on updating this.
I'd tell you about my week, but to be honest, its all a blur, lol. No, not because I was on anything, or didn't sleep or anything like that, but just because I've been working, socialising, and had my head in the clouds a bit because of a certain someone.

I worked most days last week, then the weekend arrived... I spent a lot of it just chilling out and relaxing, which was nice, but to get to that I had to endure nearly 2 hours of stupid traffic ... grrr. Trust me to drive from east auckland to browns bay/albany on the first day of a long weekend! It sux and I don't recommend it, but the outcome was worth the drive :-)
I did a few things on the weekend, the main things being .... watched dvds at Sarah's place on saturday night, went to my uncles bday drinks on sunday afternoon, then church, then a gig at Rtoto's (streetwise scarlet, quarter2, and goodnight nurse) awesome night! Then monday being a public holiday and all, everyone was in holiday mode. I went to a potjie (pronounced poikie) which is a big south african event similar to our kiwi bbq's .... except that its a stew cooked over an open fire in a big iron pot. Mmmm I'll tell you one thing ... it tastes sooo good!

This coming week will be crazy busy, work on wed, thurs, fri, and dance practise on wed and thurs nites and saturday. We're dancing at All Out Sunday at church this weekend. Come along if you're in auckland ... mercury theatre, 6pm on sunday, I'd strongly advise getting there early though, seats will fill up!

one hell of a weekend!

WHAT A CRAZY WEEKEND! Well not so much crazy, but full of fun and a huuuge lack of sleep.
Starting with Wednesday morning when I got up for work at 7am .... up until Sunday night when I went to bed at 11pm, I only had 9 hours sleep. I wonder how I survived the week really, but I think I got into overtired stage, and from there I was fine :-)
Part of the lack of sleep is the fact that lately I have been lying in bed for a decent 2 - 3 hours before I can fall asleep, and I already go to bed late enough as it is. Damn computer! haha.

Wednesday nite I just couldnt sleep, it was almost sunrise when I finally nodded off.

Thursday nite I went to the Kings Arms to watch some great bands, including Occasional Saint, The Twitch and The Tutts. Got home about 1.30am, and spent far too much time on my computer mucking around. I got about 2 hours sleep I think.

Friday nite I had a youth group thingee at church which went really well, then I met up with my mate Johnny and some of his friends in town for some drinks and to catch up. Well I left town about 4.30 and that pretty much wrote off any option of a good nites sleep :-) Mmmm viaduct hot dogs are great too, for those aucklanders reading this who understand ...

Saturday nite and sunday blur into one... I went tenpin bowling with people from work, visited a mate of mine after that, and then headed into town for Planet Hardcore.

Now for you uneducated ones, Planet Hardcore is a rave that happens usually a couple of times a year, and its always awesome! Its also where the djs pull out a lot of the old school happy hardcore tracks, the ones I truly love! I get to dance the night away and catch up with people I haven't seen for ages, plus a lot of the djs are mates of mine so it makes it an even better night cos they're really good :-) Its also a chance to meet new and interesting people and this one was exceptionally good. I met some great people and ended up not making it home for sleep. (I almost left at 4am, but I got sort of distracted by the great tracks playing, and by one person who definitely caught my attention, hehe, I won't put names here though, he knows who he is). The rave finished at 6am, then I had kebabs for breakfast, then coffee, then about 8 of us hung out for the morning at one of their houses. I had to leave at lunchtime to go home, eat some food and get changed for dance practise. Dance went til 4ish, then I had church at 6pm. I do sometimes wonder how I did that on no sleep, but I felt fine. I did sleep exceptionally well last night though :-)

Now bearing in mind that during all of this stuff happening this week, I worked wed, thurs, fri and sat. So that stuff is on top of my normal work day.

Now that I once again have a pxt phone, I had a great time taking random pictures of my weekend. Ahh the memories :-) Gotta love em!!!

Anyway, now for less exciting things ... my tax return, better go get that done. Til next time ...

flashbacks

I've spent a lot of time this week looking through old photos and stuff on my computer, re-living moments in my head, some good and some not so good. I've been cleaning my room up a bit too, finding random stuff like my cattle prod ... and right now you're looking at me very very strangely I know! I went to hamilton with the ZM radio station for the bachelor awards about 5 months ago ... an awesome day, and we had a list of things to do (it was City Girls lookin for a man from the stix, haha) ... kiss a farmer, hold a chainsaw, put lipstick on a farmer, stand on a haybail, sit on a tractor, purchase a cattle prod ... I can't remember the others, they're the ones I remember doing. I'd do that again anyday ... had to be there to understand I reckon! But yeah, in reliving that moment I've decided to share photos with u all ... the guy in the photo is Tony .... he won the rural bachelor award. He's a pretty great guy, totally deserved it! :-) Mmm not bad for a southern boy! what do you think? haha.

Fast forward to today (warning, I may continue to have these photo flashbacks from time to time). Spent the week trying to catch up on all the work hours I missed out on when I was sick, or some of them anyway. My week pretty much consisted of monday in bed, then the rest of the week working. On wednesday night we had dance practise for Synergy (the dance team I'm in at church if some of you don't know what I'm talking about) ... that went really well. Friday night I had a quite one at home cos I needed the rest time.

Saturday I met up with a mate from my dance team to choreograph part of a dance, then cooked a nice healthy dinner, followed by chocolate to balance it out :-) Then I ended up going out about 10pm. Had a good nite out. Was originally going out with my mate Nicole to town, but we went to her friend Jays house first for some drinks, then met up with a couple more people and headed into town a bit late. Had a bit of a dance in town, amongst the crowds of people elbowing us, but it was fun. Then we tuned in the CB radio in the car for the central city and sung (yelled) at the top of our lungs into the CB radio to half of the Presidents of the USA cd for all of auckland city to hear. That was at about 4am, I'm sure they all loved it!!! haha. It was so much fun though ... the random things we do for fun! hahaha! I'd do it again anyday!

Today its monday and I went to the movies with my friend Mikey, we went to see Dukes of Hazzard .... a good movie in my opinion, although I wasn't drooling at the girls in the short shorts like the guys in the theatre were. Lots of crack up moments to laugh at, and they drive just like I want to (... except I think I'd have far too many tickets from being pulled over every day if that happened!)

I was about to head to bed when I realised I hadn't done my invoices which are due tomorrow ... so its now 3am, and I have to get up at 7 at the latest .... arrrgh! Ok, nite :-)

im sooo over being sick!

I didn't go to work yesterday, instead I gave in and went to the doctor. It appears I'm actually sicker than I thought. I'm just so used to powering on through whether im sick or not I guess. So my throat infection that I started out with is now a chest infection with fluid in my left lung. Hmm not fun at all, but it does explain why my left side hurt when I breathed.

So now I'm on antibiotics, and a psycho disgusting cough mixture that has morphine in it, hehe. I probably wasn't meant to go to work today, but I was feeling somewhat ok knowing that I would get one customer every half hour or so at the store I was at today. It was even quieter than I expected.

I'm so over being sick though. Since I finished work at 6 I've made dinner, baked a cake, made muffins, watched tv, checked email, mucked around on MySpace, done some of my accounts stuff that needed doing (filing receipts) .... and now I'm pondering whether to watch a dvd or not. If I had to be home for like 2 weeks I think I'd go insane!
