Work ... hehe

Well sometimes my job is just plain boring, depending on what i'm working on (*cough* transcribing at touchdown, hehe ... the in joke for those who get it).

But monday was definitely different. Check out the pics! I was meant to be a driver for an adventure travel show, then partway thru the day they gave me a camera and harnessed me halfway up the vertigo climb of the skytower! (http://www.4vertigo.co.nz/) hehe it was fun. I scurried up to the top and went outside for a look around after (about 50feet up from where i was working). Shame it was only for one day :-( But here's the pics. I'd tell you more about the show, but I'm not even allowed to say what it was. Sorry ....
The pic of the skytower has the little circle where I was ... hmm and what do you think of the harness as a new fashion accessory? lol. just kidding ...

Yep I still exist

Yes I am still here, I promise! I'm just a slacker. I think I'll have to fill in the gaps slowly here ... I moved house a couple of weeks back, and haven't really been online except to check emails and stuff.
So .... keep an eye on the site the next few weeks and more will be revealed about me, where I've been, what I've been up to .... and how I'm likely to deprive myself of even more sleep in the coming months. Don't ask me why ... I just seem to be making a habit of it lately. Make of it what you will ... stress, work, people, stupid addictive internet, accounts to be done, and so on ...

bitching session

Ok so its bitching session. SORRY!

So I had my dream job lined up ... sort of. An executive producer that I know in LA emailed me a couple of weeks ago. He wanted to offer me a job as producers assist on a new nickelodeon show ... the only glitch ... nickelodeon had to agree to sponsor my visa. (ie: say that they are willing to take me on as an employee, blah, blah, blah.

Well after just coming back from A&E tonite from what I thought mite be a fractured foot, it turns out I have a torn ligament, so there goes all my plans this weekend. And on top of that I just got an email to say Nickelodeon are not willing to sponsor me, therefore I won't be able to do the job. Arrrgh! I just want to scream right now :-(

Boycott Nickelodeon, they're stupid!!!

I'm meant to be doing a whole lot of dance classes on saturday and a duathlon on sunday, and now I can't do either. My usual way of de-stressing is to go do exercise and I can't for 2-3 weeks cos of this foot injury ... so not sure what I'm gonna do about that one :-(

Everything happens all at once, and it sux!

On the plus side, the said producer from the above rant has more projects coming up and says he's still very keen to have me onboard on one where he has more decision control, but I'm not going to keep my fingers crossed for that one, cos I did that this time and look where it got me.

Time to keep climbing the ladder of NZ production companies for now!
